His strike outs have decreased this year and he hit .411 last year. Is a .300 hitter who grounds out more draftable than a guy with .400 BA & .500 OB%? My comment on stolen bases is to show he is playable in OF too. 6.7 on scout day isnt quite slow either..:)

Youre right that he was caught stealing for the first time in his career this year, but he is not a speed guy by any means. Right now he is probably give or take only a 10 steal guy at the professional level and as he gets bigger (As if that is possible) that number is only going to go down.

His stock gets hurt because of the positional aspect. 1st baseman always get knocked down a peg or to but he could in turn be very good value if he is able to make enough contact to display that raw, brute strength.

He is definitely a great prospect, but because this year has so many good college right-handers Appel, Gausman, Wacha, Stroman, Zimmer, Beck, Pierce Johnson, Kline, etc. the list just goes on, I think Baker falls into the 1st supp.-2nd round discussion. Could definitely be a pleasant surprise for whoever takes him that late though.

I'm surprised Adam Brett Walker (Jacksonville University) isn't moving back up draft boards. 6'5 230 lb 1B/OF - I read he stole 29 out of 30 bases at Jax. For a dude that big - Wow & Crazy Power too. A True "Steal" in Sup Round (I'm feeling Cards - Brewers - or A's)

What about Dylan Baker at Western Nevada? He's not going to make it out of the first 30. Stuff is way too good. Pitches and holds 92-97 velo through the game, with 4 pitches, 3 of them are + with a CH that will be average at least.
